Finca Horqueta · Boquete, Chiriquí
Our Story
Grown at altitude in Boquete, curated with purpose, shared with the world.
The founder
Born from the mountains of Chiriquí
Gian Michael Coffee was born from a deep connection to the land of Boquete — a place where Volcán Barú, low-hanging clouds, and volcanic soils create conditions found nowhere else on earth for specialty coffee.
At Finca Horqueta, between 1,500 and 1,700 metres above sea level, we grow Geisha and Catuai with the same attention a craftsman gives to their work. Every lot is small, seasonal, and traceable to the tree.
Our mission is simple: to bring Boquete's excellence to the cups of those who appreciate coffee for what it truly is — an expression of place, person, and process.
Gian Michael is Panamanian — and so is every bean in the bag. This is coffee grown, processed, and roasted right here in Panama, by someone who knows this land and believes deeply in what it produces.

What guides us
Principles of the farm
Terroir first
Boquete is not just a place on a map — it is a unique microclimate where altitude, mist, and volcanic soil combine to produce coffee of unmatched character.
Small lots
We work in small, seasonal lots to maintain complete control over quality. Every bag we ship represents a specific, traceable, and honest harvest.
Private curation
We are not a mass-market brand. We are private curators who select only the best from the farm to share with those who value excellence in the cup.
